New Year.... New Me?

Image
Welcome back, comrades! 2019 is The Year. I've set multiple resolutions and I am ready to fulfill them. My mission this year is to be the best me and take things slowly. I know people have different ways of doing things, but if you need inspiration for what do accomplish in 2019, take a look at my list: 1. earn more simoleons so I can buy the Trottco 27" TV for my sim's living room 2. finish 2 relationship stories 3. finish the cooking hobby 4. buy more lanterns for the garden walkway 5. earn some fashion gems to get clothing power-ups 6. buy a cradle to start the baby side-story Some things I didn't include in my NewYear's resolution list is to be nicer to my brother, sign up for college scholarships, and earn real money. You may be wondering, how did the heating situation go?  Well, it didn't, is the thing. Previously, I stated that I would be 100% NOT using the heater or lights. Turns out this is a terrible idea, especially if one nee...

'Tis the Season of Kris Kringle, and I'm Ready to be Kidnapped to the North Pole

I'm still AliiivEEEEEE 😝😝😝 I feel so successful. I haven't used my heater since the start of December, and I have gotten into a routine. I know what sweater is the warmest and which socks I prefer; at this point, I could probably outlive Bear Grylls! I'm still not sure what type of heater I'm using, though. I took off the grill and tried to find a label, but there wasn't any visible. I even went so far as to try to take the motor of the heater (motor?), out of the *socket* in the wall, but there were screws that were at angles (who designed this??) and I wasn't about to unscrew something that I could screw back in without a drill. One thing that has continuously tripped me up is the fact that I keep forgetting to unplug my charging cables . To be honest, though, I'm not too pressed about that. I'll chalk it up as an area where I have "room to grow" ;) we all make mistakes, so really there's no one to blame.......... After...

Week 2: Feelin like Victor in Chapter 7, Volume 3

Image
When I get home each night, I walk, exhausted, to my bedroom. Remember, it's in a shed behind my house. So, I'm out here, outside, its cold, and I'm like "Wow,,,.,.its is really cold...! Can't wait to be inside a nice, toasty room!" One fun thing I like to do (and if you start cutting your heat use you can do this, too) is to PRETEND that I am WARM. Ahahahah good times. To be completely honest, though, I've noticed I have been sleeping better. Either that or my body is going into some state of hibernation in an effort to stay warm. Some of my friends have expressed worry about my health, which is doing fine. Here's what I wear to bed each night: - leggings - thicc wool socks - sweatpants (yes, over the leggings) - shirt (T-shirt, long sleeve, whatever) - sweatshirt (shoutout to Summit merch) - a goshdarned Norwegian 100% wool (or something, I can tell it definitely came from an animal with minimal processing) sweater Then I just p...

I'm Cold and This Was a #BadIdea

Ugh, I hate this! There is nothing in the universe that could describe the absolute pain and disgust I feel when I walk into my room now. This is me! freezing! in my room! I feel like a model for LL Bean when I sleep. My entire body must be covered by at least an inch of fabric or else I wake up with blue toes. I feel like a character in Game of Thrones, any moment now my family will find me frozen, huddled under a mound of furs, "Alas! But our beloved daughter has succumbed to the great winter of Seattle!" Now, I may exaggerate at some moments in my life, but I want everyone to know that I am being completely honest and far when I say that there was no significant change in temperature when I went from being outside to being in my room.  Let me say this again: MY ROOM IS THE SAME TEMPERATURE AS IT WAS OUTSIDE LAST NIGHT. According to The Weather Channel , yesterday's low was at 31 degrees Fahrenheit. It was literally freezing in my room last night - but at leas...
